Problem

I have CentOS/RHEL 6.4 installed and I want to upgrade to Eucalyptus 3.4.2.

Solution

To install Eucalyptus 3.4.2 on a system with CentOS 6.4 on it you need to enable the 6.5 repo and upgrade the openssl packages.

1. vim /etc/yum.repos.d/CentOS-Base.repo

2. Under the [Base] heading comment out the mirror url and update the baseurl and enabled as follows:

     baseurl=http://mirror.centos.org/centos/6.5/os/x86_64/

     enabled = 1

3. yum clean all; yum update openssl

4. vim /etc/yum.repos.d/CentOS-Base.repo

5. Comment out the baseurl and uncomment the mirror url and change enabled back to 0.

6. Install Eucalyptus 3.4.2
